Intro to Reach Communities
Michael Lyden introduces Reach Communities.
Our primary place of belonging within Reach Derby is in Reach Communities.
These are extended family size groups of people who are on mission together to a particular geographical area or network of people within the city.
Within such communities we do life together, grow in relationship with God, and reach out to share the good news of a life of transformation with Jesus.
Each community will have its own particular rhythm of activities as it will be shaped around it’s missional focus.

ACTS 4 Community
In Acts 4 Community, we have a vision to help our local community of Normanton feel welcome and to provide a place where we can really get to know each other. We come together for Community Meals, Bible Study, Prayer & Worship Nights and Social Activities.

Derby North Community
Derby North Community is a Reach Derby community based around Duffield and the north part of Derby.

Ilkeston Lighthouse Community
We are a community where people can find a sense of belonging and friendship, whilst studying the Bible together to try and live out our lives as Jesus would. We look to reach out to others as we share our lives with them, wherever we are in our weeks.

Knit & Natter Community
In Knit & Natter Community we have a vision to know each other well, to pray and to grow together (while knitting), and to support our members in what they are already doing to serve the Lord and reach people with the Gospel.

Littleover+ Community
In Littleover+ Community we have a vision to reach out to show God's love to people in our different neighbourhoods. We connect to each other in our everyday lives, encourage each other to grow in our faith with thanksgiving and prayer. We look for ways that we can be a blessing to others around us.

Mighty Men of Renown Community
In Mighty Men of Renown Community our purpose is to increase unity in the brotherhood of the attendees, further understanding of our true identity, encouraging the realisation of spiritual gifts, personal discipling and accountability.

In Patchwork Community we meet to encourage and support one another in our individual ministries to others.

Roots Community
In Roots Community we have a vision to reach our family and friends with the gospel in Heatherton village, Littleover and Highfields. We come together as a community to support one another in developing our roots as disciples of Jesus, gathering together for worship, looking at God's word and prayer.

The Shire Community
The Shire Community are a group of people living in various villages around Derby, looking to reach out to those around us in more rural locations.

The Y Group Community
The Y Group Community are a mixed age group, serving local communities, looking to share God's love and His good news with those around us. We meet together for fellowship, social times and enjoy using various small group studies and DVDs.

Young Adults Community
Young Adults Community gathers people aged 18-30 from across Reach Derby, providing a space to grow in God together and a place to invite friends to come and investigate faith.
Family+
Our community is a place where we can share life together, be open and honest with one another and provide prayer and practical support for each other as we go about our day to day lives. We have an emphasis on having fun together and provide a safe and open space for new people to come along and experience the love of Jesus in practical ways.
